Please enjoy this prayer as we head into the first week of Advent.

Lord Jesus, Master of both the light
and the darkness, guide us as we
begin the season of Advent.

For those who have so much to do
let us find quiet moments
to hear your voice in sacred scripture.

For those who are anxious and worried
let us look forward with hope
to your coming among us.

For those who are filled with blessings
let us await the complete joy
of your heavenly kingdom.

For those whose hearts are burdened
let us seek the peace of your coming.

We are your people, walking in darkness
and seeking the light.
We pray, “Come Lord Jesus!”
